Inside ICOHT 2025
ICOHT 2025 made waves in Malaysia, hosted in partnership with Asia Pacific University of Malaysia and proudly supported by Visit Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia, and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia. The conference was a vibrant convergence of ideas, expertise, and global perspectives. With over 70 presenters and more than 200 delegates from across the world, ICOHT 2025 brought together a diverse network of academics, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals, all united by a shared vision for the future of tourism and hospitality.
The event featured 30+ distinguished speakers, with a landmark highlight being the keynote address by Emeritus Professor Jafar Jafari, widely regarded as the father of tourism studies. His presence set a powerful tone for the conference, inspiring both seasoned experts and emerging scholars alike. Multiple academic and industry panels facilitated thought-provoking discussions on pressing issues and emerging trends, while collaborative spaces encouraged networking, partnerships, and the cross-pollination of ideas.
